No combustion
The process runs without kilns, fossil fuels or thermal energy. That removes the industry's largest cost driver and its largest emission source from the production step.
The process
The Acriva process does not burn fuel and does not run a kiln. Cement sets at ambient temperature from activated industrial residues. The CO₂ is not made in the first place, so there is far less to capture, store or pay for.
The carbon intensity we target per ton is being confirmed through independent production measurements and a life cycle assessment with an Environmental Product Declaration (LCA/EPD). We publish a figure only once it is independently verified.
The process runs without kilns, fossil fuels or thermal energy. That removes the industry's largest cost driver and its largest emission source from the production step.
Slag, fly ash, quarry fines, mine tailings and other industrial residues are activated and become the cement's raw material. A disposal cost for one industry becomes a feedstock for another.
The cement takes up CO₂ from the air as it cures through carbonation. We measure the uptake per plant and document it in the certificate. We state the figure only once the test data is on file.
Acriva complements CCS rather than replacing it: less CO₂ produced means less to capture, which lowers cost across the whole chain.
ESG performance
Lenders, rating agencies and public buyers ask for evidence. The process delivers it as plant-level numbers rather than statements of intent.
